Each director brings a unique blend of expertise and passion across the cooperative sector. Together, they guide our mission to empower cooperative communities worldwide.

Debbie is a seasoned leader in the co-operative sector, currently serving as the CEO of OurCoop in the UK. With over 30 years of experience in retail, including roles at Co-op Group, Marks & Spencer, and SPAR UK, Debbie has a wealth of knowledge in strategic management and community engagement. As Vice President of EuroCoop Debbie is passionate about co-operative values and has been instrumental in driving initiatives that prioritize people over profit. Debbie also sits on the boards of the Association of Convenience Stores and the British Retail Consortium.

Blase has been a leading figure in the UK co-operative housing sector for over 25 years. As Chief Executive of CCH, he has championed corporate governance, risk management, and financial control within the co-operative housing community. Blase is a Board member of the International Cooperative Alliance, a founder member of Community Led Homes and serves as the Treasurer of Cooperative Housing International.

Paul Gerrard joined the Co-operative Group in 2016 after a distinguished career in the UK Civil Service. As Campaigns and Public Affairs Director, he leads the Group’s engagement with government and drives campaigns on social issues such as modern slavery and loneliness. Paul’s work has significantly raised awareness and influenced policy on these critical matters.

Director Todor Ivanov

Todor Ivanov is Vice-President of the Central Cooperative Union–Bulgaria and Director of Consumer Co-operatives Worldwide (CCW). Between 2014 and 2025, he served as Secretary-General of Euro Coop, representing 20 national consumer co-operatives active mainly in food retail. Throughout his career, Todor has led international relations, advocacy, and collaboration across the global co-operative movement. He holds degrees in International Relations and European Public Administration, and a PhD in the Organisation and Management of Consumer Co-operatives.
